Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is one of Jerusalem Pharmaceuticals strategic priorities as we perceive CSR as an opportunity to strengthen and sustain our business. Jerusalem Pharmaceuticals adopts policies and practices that observe its social and environmental responsibilities.

We believe that embracing responsibilities toward a broader group of stakeholders can maximize our profits and add value to our shareholders by improving brand recognition and business reputation; increasing sales and customer loyalty, as well as attracting talents and retaining high caliber staff, among others.

Jerusalem Pharmaceuticals actions and decisions are in alignment with our core values and code of ethics which include our commitment to the highest quality, occupational health and safety, good customer service and environmental responsibility. To illustrate, Jerusalem Pharmaceuticals environmental management program includes recycling of waste paper and cartons to conserve natural resources, save energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and pollution, and keep landfill space free for other types of trash that cannot be recycled. Moreover, the Company employs appropriate waste disposal procedures with regards to active pharmaceutical products, chemicals and solvents. As for its responsibility to its community, Jerusalem Pharmaceuticals is actively engaged in a partnership with six Palestinian universities and five Palestinian colleges in an internship student academic training program for a number of faculties including chemistry and applied chemistry; biology and microbiology; science, health management; pharmacy; engineering; programming and information technology; as well as business administration. To date, more than 200 students have benefited from this program. Further, the Company has supported several graduate research projects.

Last but not least, Jerusalem Pharmaceuticals is always keen to be part of its community's social activities and has participated in events such as right to education marathon, providing flu vaccines, blood donation campaigns (blood bank), and education volunteering programs.
